Jon Way of VFW Post 1054 in Yokosuka, Japan, is a Vietnam veteran and former sailor. To show his appreciation to his fellow sailors aboard the USS George Washington, he hosted a welcome home event that drew a crowd of more than 500. It was the first-ever event in Japan to be funded by VFW National Headquarters.
